The Bits' New Room

The Little Bits are getting a new room. L. J. and Margie decided to undertake a project they had thought up some time back--cut the living room into another bedroom plus a hallway.



This will give Caladan and Meridian their very own room (to share). Other various, less radical arrangements, though successful for a time, have proven to finally be insufficient.


Tuesday, 19 July. Trip to Lowe's. 29 2x4's, 12 sheets of panelling, crown moulding, nails, etc. Frame up the room and begin panelling.

Wednesday, 20 July. Worked all day at Tech. Got four sections of panelling up, then went to bed.

Thursday, 21 July. Most of the panelling finished. The Bits start moving in and spend the first night in their new room.

Friday, 22 July. Another trip to Lowe's for electrical stuff. Wired for foyer lighting. More panelling. Some moulding and trim.

Saturday, 23 July. Better things to do. Worked on it on and off. Got the coat hooks up along with a little more panelling, moulding, and trim. (the one picture of the coat hooks will be posted with Day 6)

Tuesday, 26 July. The room is pretty much done, just a few details and finishing moving in. Today was all about moulding, trim, and new bunk beds.
